National Network of Pediatric Quality Collaboratives (NNPQC)

The Roadmap Project will be presenting as part of a plenary panel at the upcoming National Network of Pediatric Quality Collaboratives (NNPQC). This presentation will highlight the voices of LaToshia Rouse, a doula and the mother of triplets born prematurely, who serves on the executive committee of the NNPQC, and Robyn Kinebrew, a mother of twins with Sickle Cell Disease. Both are members of the Roadmap Patient and Parent Advisory Group and co-authors of the publication, The impact of being Black while living with a chronic condition: Inpatient perspectives.

Fontan Outcomes Network Fourth Annual Single Ventricle Patient Day: Teens and Adults

Friends of Roadmap will be attending Fontan Outcomes Network’s (FON) 2022 Single Ventricle Patient Day. This event was designed for patients by patients with the intent to connect and empower teens and adults with single ventricle circulation so they feel supported and uplifted, while gaining tools to take control of their CHD care.

Stockman Lecture: Engaging With Youths To Address Mental Health

During the American Academy of Pediatrics’ National Conference, Friend of Roadmap Johanna Bergan will highlight her experiences with anxiety and depression that led her to advocate for mental health system changes that improve care options and ensure diverse youths are engaged in system design. She will share lessons to guide clinicians in championing mental health, and discuss stigma, mental health language, and the combined power of peers, family, and practitioners.
